Food Shortages Creates Greater Demand
Barely in to the new year and food shortages have struck the supermarkets. Supplies of peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes have been heavily effected and this has led to a big boom in demand for growing trays and propagation products as consumers look to grow something urgently. As the leading supplier of all things propagation, Garland Products/Worth Gardening have turned 3 months stock in little over 3 weeks. This is testament to the strength of the product range in the garden centre market. Commenting on the sudden demand, sales director Mark Dedman said, "This kind of sudden high demand can stretch even the most organised business, thankfully we had stock made and ready, but it has stripped the warehouse of pre-built stock and we are making further stock to meet the increased demand as fast as possible."
