70+ New Products launched at Glee by Garland/Worth Gardening

Once again we have been busy over the last 12 months investing in new products, machinery and infrastructure, leading to another year of big product launches, with 70 new products added for the 2018 season. We have had a great year with the early spring weather helping the season get off to a flying start. We put on sizeable growth every quarter across the year and head in to 2018 with high hopes. New gains over this season have given us an extra lift and so far we have secured lots of new interest and business for next year. This year saw us strengthen our sales team with Phil Burgoyne joining us as our new key accounts manager, Phil is now doing his first Glee show as a supplier after attending the show for years as a garden centre buyer. Commenting on the show, Phil Burgoyne said that the whole year has been a real eye opener, I thought the retailer’s side had many challenges and complications. I however now have a deep appreciation for all the suppliers out there that face so many more challenges behind the scenes. As a buyer I had no idea of the complexity of getting a product from concept, through to design and on to finished product. I have only scratched the surface this year but I cannot wait to get even more evolved over the coming season. It gives you a real sense of achievement seeing things you have worked on, suddenly come together and be there on the stand for everyone to see. Sales Director Mark Dedman said that Phil has already proved to be a valuable asset to the team. His first years growth has topped 34%, with existing customers increasing under Phil's control, as well as many new accounts being opened. I am sure that next year will see Phil making many more gains for us and putting on sizable growth once again.
